Ethiopian opal is a hydrophane opal sourced primarily from the Wollo Province of Ethiopia, known for its play-of-color - a phenomenon where diffracted light produces shifting flashes of green, blue, orange, and violet across the stone's surface. Because each opal forms organically, color pattern and intensity vary between individual stones. The 4mm round faceted cut maximizes light interaction across the stone's face within the compact disc format of the charm.
