Budget & Pricing

How much does a custom engagement ring cost?

Our custom-ring pricing is thoughtfully tailored to your choices: the metal you select (14K vs. 18K gold), the type and rarity of your stones, their total carat weight, and the intricacy of your design all play a role. For example, a simple 14K gold band set with a 0.50 ct lab-grown diamond typically starts at around $1,200, while a more elaborate 18K gold design featuring a 0.75 ct rare sapphire often begins at $2,800 (and can increase with additional stones or intricate detailing). To explore options and get a clearer idea of the process, please visit our Custom Design section or book a phone consultation (send request to info@antoanetta.com). Our award winning designer Antoanetta will walk you through each material and style choice—so you feel informed, secure, and excited about your one-of-a-kind creation.

What payment plans do you offer for engagement rings?

Pay over time with Affirm—no hidden fees or surprises. At checkout, select Affirm and choose the plan that works for you (typically 3, 6, or 12-month terms). You’ll see your exact payment schedule and total cost before you commit. Subject to credit approval.

Are lab-grown diamonds cheaper than mined ones?

At Antoanetta’s LA atelier, we price our lab-grown diamonds 50%-70% below comparable mined stones—without sacrificing sparkle or durability. Because we control every step, from ethical sourcing to in-house 3D renders, we pass real savings straight to you. It’s luxury you can feel good about and afford with confidence.

Design & Materials

Do you offer digital design previews or mockups?

Yes—every custom order includes a complimentary 3D digital render of your piece. After we gather your design specs, we send interactive CAD renderings showing stone, setting, and metal finish. You can request up to two rounds of revisions before production, ensuring the final piece matches your vision.

Can I add engraving to my engagement ring?

Absolutely—choose from script or block font: up to 10 characters on the inner band ($150, up to 15 characters $200 and up to 20 characters $250). To add engraving, you can email us at info@antoanetta.com to ensure the design is suitable for engraving.

How do I start a bespoke consultation?

You can start with emailing us at:  info@antoanetta.com to schedule a 30-minute call. We’ll cover your style preferences, budget, and timeline, then send a personalized design brief and invoice. Once approved, we kick off the CAD rendering and crafting your jewelry piece.

Can I redesign a family heirloom?

Absolutely—send photos of your heirloom and any sentimental details to our email info@antoanetta.com. We’ll schedule a consultation call, craft a 3D CAD mockup preserving original motifs, and iterate until you’re happy. Final pricing depends on complexity and materials (recycled or new 14K gold etc).

14K vs. 18K Gold Rings

In our LA atelier, 14K gold (58.3 % pure) delivers everyday toughness and scratch resistance—perfect for rings you wear nonstop. By contrast, 18K gold (75 % pure) offers a warmer, richer glow and higher intrinsic value, though it’s slightly softer. We’ll help you select the ideal balance for your lifestyle and aesthetic.

“Toi et Moi” Style & Who It’s For

At Antoanetta, our take on the “Toi et Moi” (“You & Me”) setting pairs two thoughtfully chosen stones often contrasting shapes or hues—to symbolize partnership and individuality. This romantic design resonates with couples seeking a non-traditional engagement ring, as well as anyone celebrating shared milestones or personal journeys. It’s a beautifully versatile style for modern romantics.

Do your 3D renders match the final product?

While every handcrafted piece has its own subtle nuances, our 3D renders at Antoanetta are built from the exact CAD files we use in production—down to stone placement, proportions, and finish details. Expect better than 95 % visual accuracy: the sparkle, silhouette, and metal flow in your render will be nearly indistinguishable from the ring you receive.

How do I choose the right ring size if you can’t try it on?

For a truly flawless fit, we trust only a professional jeweler’s sizing—pop into your local jeweler at the end of the day when your fingers are at their warmest and most consistent size. A trained jeweler will use precise tools to measure you once, ensuring your Antoanetta ring slides on perfectly from day one.

What’s the best metal choice for everyday wear?

For everyday wear, I recommend 14K gold in your preferred hue—yellow for classic warmth, rose for a soft blush, or white (with rhodium) for a modern shine—because its alloy mix makes it tough and low-maintenance. If you crave a deeper gold color and don’t mind extra care, 18K offers richer luster at the expense of a bit more softness.

How do I match an engagement ring to a wedding band?

When pairing your wedding band, start by thinking about how—and how often—you’ll wear them together. If you want a seamless stack, choose a custom band in the exact same metal, finish, and profile as your engagement ring so the two hug each other perfectly. If you prefer versatility, pick a simpler or contrasting band you can wear solo on casual days. And if you love making a statement, go for something completely unique—think a mixed-metal band or a gemstone-accented style that highlights your personality. The key is deciding up front whether you want them to feel like one set, a daily duo, or two entirely distinct pieces.
